Raiders Claim Individual Honours after Big Team Win

In a showdown for first place the Vancouver Island Raiders showed why they
are defending national champions beating the second place South Surrey Rams
64-0. The Raiders inserted a healthy Offensive Player of the Week back into
the line up; one Andrew Harris. The star tailback rushed for 211 yards on
16 carries, an average of 22 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns on a
very physical Rams defence. It is the fourth time this season Harris has
been named a BC Lions BCFC Player of the Week.
In their 23rd consecutive home victory, the Vancouver Island Raiders played
a complete game in all three facets, including showing off a very potent
Special Teams. Returner Robin Medeiros is this week's Special Teams Player
of the Week. The Hamilton, Ontario native returned eight punts for a total
of 247 yards, which was highlighted by an 84 yard scamper for a touchdown.
He would also return one kickoff for 14 yards, and would average 30.8 yards
per return against a very good the South Surrey Rams team. Medeiros also
added 132 yds receiving, for a total of 393 all purpose yards on the day.
